MOSCOW. Everyone can now visit the estates of Russian classic writers - just turn on the computer and go on a virtual tour of Russian museums. A rare opportunity to see firsthand how Pushkin, Lermontov, Tyutchev, Herzen and Prishvin lived was provided by the Google Academy of Culture by launching a project called Literary Russia.
“Internet users will be able to get acquainted with the virtual exposition of seven literary museums, as well as stroll through the territories of estates with the help of Google panoramas,” the report said. The estate-museum of L.N. joined the project. Tolstoy "Yasnaya Polyana", historical and literary museum-reserve A.S. Pushkin (the estate "Vyazemy" and "Zakharovo"), the house-museums of A.I. Herzen, M.Yu. Lermontova and M.M. Prishvina, literary and memorial museum-reserve A.P. Chekhov’s "Melikhovo" and the estate of F.I. Tyutcheva "Muranovo".

Pushkin began to write his first poems, wander along their paths, consider architectural monuments. In the museum-reserve "Melikhovo", where Anton Pavlovich Chekhov lived and worked from 1892 to 1899, you can visit the outbuilding in which he wrote the play "The Seagull", as well as visit an online exhibition. In the Prishvin house-museum you can look into the “holy of holies” - the writer’s office, where his personal library, photography accessories and a hunting rifle are located.
