Our presence will contribute to the development of Russian-Greek contacts in the publishing sector, stimulate mutual translations, ”he said.
The Russian booth was presented on May 8 with the participation of the Consul General of the Russian Federation in Thessaloniki Alexei Popov. The exhibit featured works by Russian classics and contemporary writers, books on philosophy and history, illustrated publications about Russia, as well as a special issue of the almanac on Russian literature of the XX-XXI centuries, published in Greek.
The Russian delegation was represented by well-known literary critics and writers, among whom Alisa Ganieva and Sergey Shargunov, laureates of the Debut young writers of different years, as well as the Russian Booker laureate and concurrently Debut curator Olga Slavnikova.
On May 9, at the Russian booth, members of the Russian delegation organized a live broadcast of the Victory Parade, held on Red Square in Moscow, especially for visitors to the exhibition. Also on this day, guests listened to lectures on contemporary Russian literature and received small commemorative gifts - St. George ribbons.
