MOSCOW. Yesterday, the organizers of the "Russian Prize" announced the completion of accepting applications for the award. This year, authors from 45 countries take part in the fight for the award.
The best of 364 works will be included in the long-list of the award, the participants of which will be known in March. The selection committee of the “Russian Prize” noted that this year the most applications came from Russian-speaking authors from Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Germany and Israel.
The maximum number of works was submitted in the nominations “Small Prose” (novels and storybooks) and “Large Prose” (novels). For the special prize “For Contribution to the Development and Preservation of the Traditions of Russian Culture Outside the Russian Federation”, established this year by the jury and the organizing committee of the “Russian Prize”, 15 applications were accepted.
It is worth noting that the summing up of the competition and the holding of the award ceremony will take place in Moscow at the end of April 2015. The winners of each of the nominations will receive 150 thousand rubles, and the authors, whose works took 2 and 3 places, will be awarded 60 and 45 thousand rubles.
