BARNAUL. The Biysk Vestnik literary magazine, together with the Union of Russian Writers, recently presented awards to the Russian writer, actor and director Vasily Shukshin. Cultural figures of the region received gold medals, which for many years have persistently preserved and promoted the literary heritage of Vasily Shukshin.
The memorial medal was awarded to philologists of the Altai State University Olga Levashova, Svetlana Kozlova and Dmitry Maryin, the head of the regional department of culture Elena Bezrukova, and a number of literary figures and filmmakers. The gold medal named after the Soviet writer, director and actor Vasily Shukshin was first established this year. A set of awards in a limited number (only 100 pieces) were cast in the Kemerovo region.
The editor of the Biysk Vestnik magazine Viktor Bulanichev, who is also one of the initiators of the creation of the Vasily Shukshin medal, said that the ceremony held in the Altai Territory was not the first in the history of this award. So, cultural figures from Magadan and Irkutsk have already received the medal, but the most ambitious award ceremony took place in Moscow, where 46 people were awarded the Vasily Shukshin medal. Among them were writers Vladimir Lichutin, Yuri Bondaryov, Valentin Rasputin, as well as theater and film actors Lyudmila Zaitseva, Leonid Kuravlev, Stanislav Lyubshin and many others.
