The winners of the Andrei Bely Prize are named Automatic translate
ST. PETERSBURG. The website of the Andrei Bely St. Petersburg Cultural Center recently published the names of winners of the 2014 award. Of the twenty shortlist contenders, the jury of the Andrei Bely 2014 Prize selected eight finalists.
So, Moscow writer Alexei Tsvetkov Jr. won the Prose nomination for the book The King of the Drowned, which also participates in the nomination for the Nose Prize. The winners in the nomination “Poetry” were Muscovites Irina Shostakovskaya (for the work “2013-2014: the last year book”) and Kirill Medvedev (for the collection of short stories “Campaign to the City Hall”).
Another Muscovite won, Igor Chubarov with the book “Collective Sensuality: Theories and Practices of the Left Avant-Garde” received an award in the field of “Humanitarian Studies”. In the nomination Literary Projects and Criticism, Igor Gulin became the laureate for a series of criticizing articles from 2012 to 2014 on the Colta, OpenSpace sites, as well as in Kommersant and Dmitry Bavilsky for the work “Demand. Conversations with contemporary composers. ” Muscovite Natalya Azarova was recognized as the best translator for translating the Portuguese poem Fernando Pessoa’s Sea Ode. The prize “For Services to Russian Literature” was received by the Italian Paolo Galvagni for translating poems by contemporary Russian poets into other languages.
Recall that since 1978, that is, from the day the prestigious Russian independent literary prize named after Andrei Bely was founded, the prize fund has been and will be unchanged - this is an apple, a symbolic one ruble and a bottle of vodka. The award ceremony will be held in St. Petersburg in December 2014.
