Patriotic Book Festival Launches On Sakhalin Automatic translate
SOUTH SAKHALINSK. On October 9, Sakhalin launched the interregional festival of the patriotic book “From Baikal to the Pacific Ocean”, organized by the universal scientific library and the regional ministry of culture as part of events dedicated to the Year of Culture in Russia. During the festival, which will be held until October 13, the Ministry of Culture of the Sakhalin Region promises to organize a meeting of Sakhalin readers with 12 Siberian and Far Eastern writers.
The first festival of the patriotic book “On Russia with Love” was held on Sakhalin in October 2011. Then the meetings of famous Russian writers with readers took place in the southern regions of the region, and the festival itself completed its route on the 50th parallel of the Smirnovsky district, and liberation battles took place there in 1945. This year, the organizers of the festival "From Baikal to the Pacific Ocean" plan to visit the northern regions of the region. Meetings with writers will be held in Nevelsk, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Poronaysk, Okha, Dolinsk, Nogliki and Aleksandrovsk-Sakhalinsk.
According to the program of the event, creative meetings of festival participants with readers of different professions and ages will be held in libraries, universities and schools of the Sakhalin Region over 5 days. There will also be organized round tables, presentations of new works by writers of the Far East, Transbaikalia and Eastern Siberia, the action "Gift to the reader" and many other thematic events.
