Among them are the masterpieces of Claude Monet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Paul Cezanne, Paul Gauguin, Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso and not only. The project will present the history of the formation of the collection of the famous Moscow merchant and philanthropist Sergei Shchukin through his personality, a family biography and a historical context that will help complete the collections of his brothers Peter, Dmitry and Ivan. The objective of the exhibition is to show the collection of the great Russian collector as fully as possible and to demonstrate what role it played in the development of Russian art.
