KIROV. The result of the Artweek action, which took place in the building of the Vyatka Art Museum from July 5 to 9, was the Nash exhibition, which brought together almost 80 works in the exhibition. The opening of the exhibition, at which 15 artists presented their works, opened on July 12.
The curator of the exhibition is Iraida Kuvaldina, who is the deputy. Director of the museum, reminded those present that a couple of days ago in the halls of the museum was a real workshop where artists worked. Between easels the first spectators wandered about their new works. The artists who created their works under the project inspiredly created in the same space as the museum guests.
In total, over 800 museum guests got acquainted with the creative process during the campaign. Now every work created during the week has taken its place in the exhibition halls on the third floor of the museum. Of the works on display, only a fraction was created during the project. The rest were provided by its participants from those written earlier, and stored in their workshops.
Igor Smetanin, head of the Vyatka branch of the Union of Artists, thanked the museum for the assistance it provided in carrying out the project, which has become an excellent creative week. He noted that the audience who came to the museum during the rally were able to join the most intimate - the process of birth of paintings and sculptures.
It was difficult for artists to work, but they managed to withstand this test with dignity. They painted city views, still lifes, portraits with images of famous people. During the project, paintings were created dedicated to the plots with heroes in the form of the famous Dymkovo toys. Entered the exhibition and Dymkovo characters fashioned from clay. Their author is the famous craftswoman Anna Laletina.
