A unique exhibition of engravings by Goya and Dali was opened at the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts Automatic translate

MOSCOW. The first exhibition of the new exhibition season in the Pushkin Museum. Pushkin, who has collected a series of engravings in her exposition, the authors of which are famous artists who lived in different centuries, opens on January 24. However, the day before the opening, get acquainted with the unique exposition “Caprichos. Goya and Dali ”, the museum staff invited journalists.

Presenting the exhibition, Marina Loshak emphasized that this is the first exhibition, which combines the work of two artists endowed with a single state of mind. The exhibition not only shows engravings by great masters, but also gives them the opportunity to enter into dialogue. Having placed 41 engravings of each of the artists in the hall, the creators of the exhibition supplemented each pair of works with commentaries written to their works by Francisco Goya.

When creating the exhibition, attention was focused on texts first translated into Russian. The exhibition hall turned into a kind of book, where the engravings, accompanied by commentaries, became author’s stories. Marina Loshak said that the engravings of Goya, included in the Capriccios series, belong to the museum. They were often and successfully repeatedly shown to the public.

The Capriccios Goya series by Salvador Dali was provided for the exhibition by collector Boris Fridman, who is the curator of the exhibition. Presenting the exhibition, Boris Fridman spoke about the extensive educational program prepared by the museum in addition to the exposition. The program will bring together leading Western experts.

Already on January 25, museum visitors will meet with an art critic from Madrid representing the Prado Museum. The lecture will be devoted to "Caprichos" by Goya. Later there will be a meeting with the Spanish writer Ignacio Gomez de Lianio, who was friends with Dali,
