She spoke about the work carried out in connection with the preparation of the exhibition, expressing gratitude to all participants in its creation. Then Svetlana Kiryanova, another curator of the exhibition, working in the Museum as the head of the easel and monumental painting sector, conducted the first tour for the guests present.
The basis of the exhibition were works from the collection of the Museum. Rubleva. These rare works belonging to Russian and European artists who worked on them in the 15-20th centuries were joined by works in corporate and honest collections.
There was a place in the exposition and exhibits related to arts and crafts. In total, the exhibition has about 70 works united by a single theme - water images. In the presented exhibits, water is depicted in the form of symbols, metaphors, allegories. For the first time, the organizers of the exhibition show the rare Gospel of Natalis, published in 1593.
The exhibition is open until March 1.
