"Alexander Karikh and his Enamel" - anniversary exhibition of the national artist of Russia Automatic translate
YAROSLAVL. This year, Yaroslavl artist Alexander Karikh celebrates his anniversary. People’s Artist of the Russian Federation turns 75 years old. On this occasion, in Yaroslavl on October 19, an exhibition of the creativity of a talented master was opened, whose works adorn museums in many cities of the world. Alexander Karikh is a wonderful painter, painting his paintings wherever he was able to visit.
The exhibition, located in the exhibition hall of the Union of Artists, contains a large number of works created by Alexander Karikh in Yaroslavl, where the artist has been living since 1978. Next to them are landscapes painted in Cyprus, in Montenegro and in Varnak. It seems that having crossed the threshold of the exhibition hall, you again fall into the hot summer. The artist’s canvases radiate the warmth of the southern sun, suggesting that it is rainy, slushy autumn in the city.
In addition to 94 paintings, Alexander Karikh presented more than 160 enamels made by the artist himself and the master’s students. Thanks to Alexander Karikh, the art of hot enamel, born in Byzantium, received a rebirth in the old Russian city. Since 1986, Alexander Andreevich has been creating hot enamels, complementing the traditional technique with modern technologies.
At the initiative of Alexander Karikh, in 1991 in Yaroslavl, the Creative Center "Enamel" was created, which has a developed technical base, where enamels come from different countries to get acquainted with the latest technologies in enamel art. Since 1998, Alexander Karikh holds practical symposia on the technique of hot enamels.
In four sections of the exposition, the master presented all the genres of his work. In a separate part of it, he placed views of the island of Shikotan, near which the city of Belogorsk is located - the birthplace of the artist.
The exhibition is open until November 13.
