SOCHI. Sochi Art Museum invites guests and residents of the resort city to visit the exhibition of paintings by St. Petersburg artist Roman Lyapin, which opened on September 12. An exhibition presented under the name "2856", the St. Petersburg painter celebrates his anniversary.
Sochi residents were able to get acquainted with the work of Roman Lyapin thanks to the charity fund named after Andrei Andreev, who supported the organization of the anniversary exhibition of the St. Petersburg artist. More than 40 paintings are on display.
The works of Roman Lyapin, presented to the museum guests, were created by the painter in different periods, but they are all united by a single character - the City comes to life in the paintings, both majestic and gentle, having its own character, changing mood and unique atmosphere.
Having received an art education at the Higher School of Art, where he chose the direction of realistic painting, Roman Lyapin mainly painted landscapes. However, more than ten years spent in Italy on teaching, added to his work the best qualities inherent in modern Italian painting.
The result of the merger of the two picturesque schools was a unique pictorial style, characteristic of the paintings of Roman Lyapin. His ability to masterfully use light and colors in his works allows him to strengthen the romantic mood conveyed in them, to create the feeling of flying over the city, aimed at eternity.
The paintings of the painter are filled with admiration for the classical culture. They are distinguished by the artist’s ability to combine the historical past of the city with his modern life. Roman Lyapin will share his skills with beginning artists, conducting master classes for them.
The exhibition is waiting for visitors until October 15.
