Vladimir Bashlykov writes his oil pastels in an abstract manner, keeping them in a single key.
At the exhibition that opened in the Ostroukhov’s house, the artist presented works created in different years, included in various cycles. The exposition, which houses about twenty works, the artist called "Retrography". One of the reasons for congratulations from colleagues was the release of a collection of poems "Chips" dedicated to Vladimir Bashlykov to his wife, Elena Manevich.
The exposition includes some illustrations for the collection, the presentation of which took place at the opening of "Retrographics". According to Natalia Rebrova, curator of the exhibition, part of the artist’s work will remain in the museum’s collection.
