The artist’s friends retained a substantial number of works previously inaccessible to public display. The opened exhibition presents to the public more than seventy works, the main part of which is dedicated to the historical monument of Kolomna and the wonderful landscapes of its surroundings.

The exhibition, housed in the museum and exhibition hall, since 2013 dedicated to the work of Mikhail Georgievich, gathered on the opening day of admirers of the talent of the painter, who calls him the singer of his native Kolomna. His works, most often depicting Russian nature, have won many awards. The last was the A. Plastov Prize, received by Mikhail Abakumov posthumously, in 2010.
