The Lipetsk Art Museum has opened an exhibition of paintings by the Tkachev Brothers, folk artists of the Russian Federation Automatic translate
LIPETSK. Since July 1, employees of the regional art museum have been waiting for visitors to a new exhibition representing the works of the classics of Soviet-era pictorial art, folk artists of the Russian Federation Sergey and Alexey Tkachev. The works of Full Members of the Russian Academy of Arts, state prize winners, arrived in Lipetsk from Belgorod, where they are in the collection of the art museum.
United by a common theme, each of the 22 paintings included in the exposition tells about ordinary people in the Russian village. The works of the Tkachev brothers provided by the Belgorod Museum for the exhibition “On the Homeland, on the Earth…” were created in the years 70-80. If Sergei Tkachev in his work prefers to write large-scale works with a detailed plot, then Alex, working independently, is more lyrical. Each of the artists is a creative person whose talent has individuality.
However, in the joint work of talented painters, these qualities are combined, giving rise to the phenomenon of the “Tkachev brothers”, thanks to which paintings are born where the thoroughly elaborated dramaturgy of the work and the living language of plein air painting are organically combined.
Both artists received a profession at the Institute. Surikov, where their teacher was S. Gerasimov. Among the master’s students was a whole generation of sixties painters. Their names are well known to connoisseurs of painting - V. Gavrilov, V. Stozharov, G. Korzhev. Alexey Petrovich was a favorite student of Gerasimov.
The rare performance of the painters allowed them to write about 14 thousand works. Employees of the Lipetsk Museum note that the paintings of the Tkachev brothers can be compared with the annals of the country’s life, allowing you to see it as its artists saw it.
The exhibition is open until September 16.
