"Instant, lasting eternity" - an exhibition in memory of Pavel Maskaev opened in the Radishchev Museum Automatic translate
SARATOV. The Radischevsky Museum presents paintings and drawings by the remarkable artist Pavel Maskaev at the exhibition “Instant, Lasting Eternity”, created as a tribute to love and respect to the honored artist of Russia. The grand opening of the exposition, which hosts more than a hundred works created by Pavel Maskaev at different times, will be held on June 3. Until the end of June, everyone can see it.
Museum employees placed painting and graphics in a single space, which are carefully stored in the museum funds. This collection was complemented by works collected by Igor Askasev and stored in the artist’s family. Such a different origin of the paintings helped the museum staff to create an exposition that allows to identify the main periods into which the creative path of the master can be divided. See the direction in which Pavel Maskaev moved in search of his style in art.
The exhibition presents the work of Pavel Maskaev, created by a very young artist who had just completed his studies at the Saratov art school. Near the youthful work of Pavel Maskaev are works performed by the master in recent years.
Museum staff speak of Pavel Maskaev as an artist with a subtle perception of nature. His landscapes are imbued with a whole range of experiences. They have a gloomy elegiac reverie, and bright and pure joy. Equally diverse is the color palette of his work. The artist uses both muted tones and contrasting, vibrant, color combinations.
Colleagues of Pavel Maskaev recall him as an extremely kind and sympathetic person. For seventeen years, he headed the Saratov branch of the Union of Artists, treating the problems of each artist as his own.
