The project of the Vologda art gallery "Once Again About Love" continues with an exhibition of female portraits in the Korbakov House Automatic translate

VOGDA. On the 4th of March the exhibition was opened in the exhibition space of the Korbakov House for the sixth time, as part of the traditional project “Once again about love”. As is customary in the regional art gallery, of which Korbakov’s House is a part, the opened exhibition has become a spring gift for women.

The organizers of the spring exhibition picked up a collection of the best female portraits available in the collections of the art gallery. The exhibition includes paintings created both by classics and our contemporaries. One of the three sections of the exhibition, reserved for contemporary painting, has collected 16 female portraits painted by Vologda artist Vladimir Korbakov.

This small collection again presents the artist as a wonderful master of the portrait genre. Among the heroines of the portraits painted by Vladimir Korbakov are women from the world of theater and painting, as well as ordinary charming residents of Vologda.

The main section of the exposition contains female images embodied in canvases by Russian artists who created their works of the portrait genre in the first half of the last century of the twentieth. It was a time when among the women depicted in the canvases, new heroines appeared - women workers, a delegate to congresses, pioneer leaders. But even among the works characteristic of those years, one can see lyrical images created by masters of painting.

The most honorable place in the exposition was reserved for portraits painted by masters of the 19th and 20th centuries. Among the authors of these picturesque female images are such names as Ivan Kramskoy, Fyodor Chumakov and many other equally well-known Russian artists.

The exposition, available for visiting on April 2, was perfectly complemented by the work of photo artists.
