The Kondraty Belov Museum owes its appearance to the tremendous work done by his children, Stanislav Kondratievich and Vera Kondratyevna. Much effort has been invested in the creation of the museum by Nina Mikhailovna Genova, who headed the committee of culture in the administration of the Omsk region.

The Kondraty Belov Museum acquired its present look thanks not only to specialists who have chosen art as their profession, but also with the help of caring people who love art. On the opening day of the museum, there were one hundred works in its collections. These works, performed by Kondraty Belov, were transferred to the museum by the artist’s family.

Today the museum holds 930 works of art, including a substantial amount of work donated by artists. During the quarter century of the museum’s work, its employees organized more than two hundred exhibitions, some of which took place outside the walls of the museum.

The huge cultural and educational work carried out in the museum is focused on the presentation of Kondraty Belov’s work, however, contemporary artists are not forgotten either. Especially often the museum hosts exhibitions of artists from the Friends and Years association.

Museum staff creates projects designed to support youth art and non-professional artists. Systematically in the halls of the museum are exhibitions of works owned by students of the OGPU. Members of the creative association “Drawing Mondays” created at the museum exhibit their works.

The opened anniversary exposition presents to the museum visitors all directions of its work. Guests of the Kondraty Belov Museum, who want to get acquainted with the exhibition, are expected until April 28.
