An exhibition "Ambiguity" is open at the Arkhangelsk Museum of Fine Arts, representing the work of a modern artist from Italy Automatic translate
ARKHANGELSK. For the first time, connoisseurs of the art of Arkhangelsk have a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the authentic works of a modern Italian artist. A personal exhibition of paintings made by the wonderful artist Pino Mantovani was organized thanks to the support of the Italian Consulate located in St. Petersburg.
The exposition, which was called “Ambiguity” from the author, is housed in the Museum of Fine Arts, where it was opened on February 20. This exhibition was prepared by an Italian artist specifically for showing to the Arkhangelsk audience. Her exposition consists of 35 paintings, covering a long period of creativity of Pinot Mantovani.
The oldest paintings were made by the painter in 1965. Written relatively recently, date back to 2007. Such selection of works for the exhibition presented in the museum makes it possible to note the artist’s growing skill over the years. Among the works that arrived in Arkhangelsk, realistic works are side by side with canvases made in an abstract manner.
Together with his works, from Italy to Arkhangelsk, came the author himself, Pinot Mantovani. The artist was introduced to the first visitors of the exhibition by Maya Mitkevich, director of the museum association. She called the Italian master an artist with a bright creative personality and her own vision of the world.
Pino Mantovani was born in the province of Brescia, but in 1963 he moved to Turin, graduating from the Albertine Academy, where he studied art history. Today, Pinot Mantovani is known as a remarkable artist, impeccably fluent in painting and graphic techniques, a historian and teacher.
You can see the exhibition until April 10th.
