Exhibition "Seasons" - landscape subjects in the art gallery of Kaliningrad Automatic translate
KALININGRAD. The city art gallery continues the exhibition project “100 Names”, in the framework of which the works stored in its collections will be shown. On January 21, the second exhibition of this project was opened in the gallery. This time, the exposition created by the gallery’s employees, presented to visitors under the title “The Seasons”, united in the exhibition space artwork performed in various techniques, but dedicated to a single theme.
In each of them there are landscape motifs. This is not only painting and graphics, but also objects belonging to the arts and crafts. Among the authors of the works included in the exposition are represented not only Russian but also foreign artists. The time period when these works were created is large enough. The oldest works were completed at the end of the nineteenth century, and the dates representing the latest arrivals relate to the past 2015 year.
The oldest work of the exposition is a city landscape painted by the artist A.N. Novoskoltsev in Venice. His artist created in 1883. The latter, in 1915, entered the collection of the work of the famous cosmonaut Alexei Leonov, a fellow countryman of the inhabitants of Kaliningrad. He began to professionally paint in the 60s.
The organizers of the exhibition prepared a surprise for the guests of the gallery. It was the presentation held simultaneously with the opening of the exhibition, where two unique art albums were presented. In one of them, the work of the artist A. Balabaev is presented, in another, the works of V. Morozko are placed. Both artists are residents of Kaliningrad. These publications completed a large-scale project popularizing the work of Kaliningrad artists.
