The personal exhibition of Yevgeny Kitaykin, which opened in the Artist’s House, was dedicated to the artist’s memory Automatic translate
KALUGA. Until January 31, an exhibition of the works of Yevgeny Kitaykin, the oldest painter in Kaluga, runs in the exhibition hall of the Union of Artists of the Kaluga Region. The exhibition was created for the anniversary of the artist, who was preparing to celebrate his ninetieth birthday. However, it so happened that Yevgeny Petrovich did not live to see the exhibition literally five days. This sad news turned the prepared exposition into an exhibition in memory of the Kaluga master of painting.
At the opening of the exhibition in the halls of the House of Artists came a lot of fans of Yevgeny Petrovich’s work, among whom there was a considerable number of young people. This once again confirmed that the young generation is interested not only in fashion trends and popular culture. The master’s sincere look at the world around him, together with his talent and true authority in art, always becomes a center of attraction among connoisseurs of the painter’s bright creativity.
The opened exposition is made up of about 130 works by Evgeny Kitaykin at different times. Here you can see the works created by the artist in the 40s, written by him after the war, and some of the works included in the exposition were completed quite recently. Therefore, the exhibition has become a collection of the results of the artist’s creative path, a lifetime in his life, which was emphasized by the creators of the exposition in its name.
For Yevgeny Kitaykin, the Kaluga Region was not only the place of birth. His life passed in Kaluga, with the exception of his studies in Moscow. Since 1946, Evgeny Petrovich worked in the museum of local lore of Kaluga and was the head of a circle of the Palace of Pioneers. The artist devoted all his free time to creativity, constantly participating in exhibitions. The works of Yevgeny Kitaykin are stored in museums of Kaluga and cities of the region.
