Especially known illustrations made in the technique of engraving. For fifteen years, Mud Mechev created illustrations for the publication of The Tale of Bygone Years. The same time was spent on creating graphic illustrations for the unique edition of the «Gospel», released in 2008. This silver folio adorned 264 engravings by Myud Mechev.
In the process of illustrating the «Tale of Bygone Years» the artist created more than four hundred engravings. In the Togliatti museum are kept 65 of them. These works by Myud Mechev and became the occasion for the opening of the exhibition. Olga Kholopina, wife of M. Mechev, took part in the opening ceremony.
The exposition also includes books, illustrations of which were made by Mud Mechev. Among them are the magnificent editions of the New Testament and the Tale of Bygone Years, donated to the museum.
