The Dialogue Center for Contemporary Art opened a series of unique exhibitions in Novgorod Automatic translate
VELIKIY NOVGOROD. In the Dialog Center, which specializes in contemporary art, on November 21, several interesting exhibitions opened at once. The visitors were most interested in the exhibition, the exposition of which was formed in the St. Petersburg Museum "Erarta".
Employees of the museum, which has a solid collection of works by contemporary authors, have collected the best works from their collection, creating a unique project. The works presented at the project’s exposition provide an opportunity for connoisseurs of beauty living outside of St. Petersburg to get acquainted with the work of our talented contemporaries.
Now the project’s exposition from Erarta has arrived in Veliky Novgorod so that Novgorod residents can appreciate the works of modern graphics, painting, sculpture, as well as installations. Such an acquaintance will be a way for them to understand whether contemporary art is really so shocking and detached from the audience, as some art historians say.
Another exhibition that opened in Dialogue will appeal to spectators who are not indifferent to the world of metaphorical images, born of the imagination of Vladimir Safronov, an Ural painter and graphic artist. His exhibition, which has collected the pictorial and graphic cycles of the “knightly epic”, is presented to the public under the name “Don Quixote and…”.
The first works of this cycle, Vladimir Sergeyevich wrote back in the eighties. In the future, the artist again returned to the “knightly” plots, supplementing them with mythology and cosmic images.
Two exhibitions - “100 Wonders of the World” and “Ra-Similarity”, are dedicated to photography. If the first of them brought together the works of masters from all over the world, then two young photo artists - K. Brus and U. Zagadkina - present their skills in the second.
