SARATOV. Guests of the Radishchevsky Museum who visited the personal exhibition of Alexei Chuslyaev have the opportunity not only to get acquainted with the artist’s works created over the past two decades, but also to walk with the author through the well-known corners of his native city.
The organizers of the exhibition created its exposition in such a way as to show the variety of genres in which the artist painted his paintings. Many of the works displayed in the hall will be an opening for the public, as they did not participate in exhibitions before. Most of the visitors to the exhibition, Alexei Chuslyaev, is known as a landscape painter who prefers urban landscapes.
The name of the exhibition, “City Walks,” also recalls this passion of the artist. The theme of the city was addressed by many Saratov artists. Each of them embodied his own Saratov in canvases. Chuslyaev’s paintings, collected in the exhibition space of the Radishchev Museum, also reflect the corners of the city, painted by the artist from nature.
On his canvases, Saratov can be sunny and cloudy, its streets can be watered with rain and snow-covered, however, each of the landscapes painted by Alexei Chuslyaev is marked by a special elegance. His skill allows you to emphasize all the nuances of the state of the air when the weather changes.
In the paintings written by Alexei, the appearance of Saratov becomes an image of an ideal city, where each street is bright and beautiful. This was one of the reasons for the demand for his works by Saratov connoisseurs of the artist’s skill. The exposition also included magnificent still lifes, upon looking at which it seems that they are scented with the aroma of fresh fruits, and the bouquets of flowers have just been cut from the flowerbed.
The exhibition "City Walks" is open until October 18.
