TVER. Visitors to the regional art gallery were the first participants in a project organized by the International Confederation, uniting art dealers and antique dealers. Thanks to this project, museums of the regions will display exhibitions showing works by renowned artists.

Most of the works are usually not available to the general public. Each of the expositions that arrived in the region will become absolutely unique, since it will take into account the wishes of the museums that have become participants in the project. The Tver Gallery offered to introduce lovers of the art of their region with paintings by great authors whose work was connected with Tver land.

The exposition is composed of fifty works belonging to private collections. All these works were written by the authors in the Tver province. Their names do not need to be introduced - they are known even to people who are not experts in painting art. Visitors to the gallery until October 19 will see paintings created by Isaac Levitan, Konstantin Korovin, Ivan Shishkin, Konstantin Korovin, Stanislav Zhukovsky and other equally eminent masters.

The exposition includes the work of the famous Venetsianov, whose name is inextricably linked with Tver. Near the master’s canvases, paintings of his students were also located. Of particular interest to visitors is the work of artists who worked in the largest art center of the 19th century - “Academic Dacha”, which owes its appearance to Ivan Repin. These are I. Brodsky and A. Kuindzhi, N. Roerich and A. Rylov, whose works are also on display.

The exhibition is complemented by works belonging to the Tver Gallery, which confirms the importance of the region in the development of Russian fine art.
