In Mikhailovsky, the exhibition of the artist Alexander Stroylo "Calling - to be an artist!" Automatic translate
PUSHKIN MOUNTAINS. The Mikhailovsky Museum celebrated the sixtieth anniversary of Alexander Stroylo with the opening of his personal exhibition, presented to visitors to the museum under the title - “Calling - to be an artist!”. To accommodate the exhibition, space has been allocated in the building of the cultural and scientific center.
Alexander Stroilo showed his works at the Museum-Reserve repeatedly. In its funds are 650 works by the artist. His paintings and drawings underlie the collection of works by artists of the Pskov Territory, located in the museum fund.
When organizing exhibition projects, these materials are actively used. Among recent successful projects, it is worth noting the one shown in the Minsk Museum. Y. Kupala exhibition dedicated to the theme of the war of 1812. A significant part of the exposition was composed of sketches created by Alexander Stroilo while working on the television movie about Vasilis Kozhina, which was shot in the Pushkin Mountains.
These sketches helped recreate the appearance of a real Russian village of that time, giving historical truth to the plot of the television movie. The author’s version of the portrait of the heroine of the film, made by Alexander Grigorievich, served the same purpose.
The exposition of the opening exhibition, where its organizers posted 118 works by the artist, is planned to be shown to visitors before the end of this year. At the exhibition, next to graphics and paintings, books illustrated by Alexander Stroilo are located. Here you can also see souvenir albums made by the artist manually. There was a place in the exposition and plaques - unique products of decorative and applied art.
The work of Alexander Stroilo was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation.
