Diana’s illustrations emphasize and complement the psychological situations of the story.
Maria Dolores Sanabria , Master of Fine Arts from the National University of Bogota in Colombia, showed paintings based on life experiences in Russia.
- In my paintings, created in Moscow for two years, so important for me as an artist, viewers will see not only images of lush tropical flowers from the Colombian Andes, but also the special light of Russia, artistically captured in my memory. The works tell about nostalgia for Colombia, as well as about my discovery of the plastic effects of light in winter, summer and autumn in Russia.
Anton Morozov is a digital artist who was educated at the Timiryazev Art School, and later at the American studio Safehouse Atelier. Instead of traditional brushes and paints, Anton uses a computer. Like other artists, he stands in kind, but draws a portrait with an electronic stylus on a pressure-sensitive tablet, and then processes the image with various Photoshop tools.
- I like the Russian classical style of painting with images understandable to the viewer and accurate large strokes, but without scrupulous detailing. A terrible monster is approaching the viewer from my picture from the fire, and I want everyone to feel that he can defeat him!
Oleg Toropygin , a studio teacher, member of the Moscow Union of Artists, author of more than 150 instructional videos on drawing, painting and sculpture, said that they participate in the competition with the whole family and regularly take first places in the categories of classical, experimental and realistic painting:
- My father, Arkady Ivanovich Toropygin, is a sculptor and painter, a participant in Russian and international exhibitions, an honorary educator, a member of the Moscow Union of Artists and the Union of Artists of Russia, he set the landscape - “Golovinsky Pond.” Mother - Isakova Natalia Nikolaevna makes paintings from fabric - her work "Dandelion Caster" and my "Portret of a Girl with a White Feather."
Galina Kurochkina has been participating in the “Art Weeks” since the fall of 2007 as a professional (she graduated from the Russian School of Applied Arts, the former Kalinin Moscow Art Theater) and her paintings have repeatedly won prizes. In Galina’s pastels, the realistic performance of key figures is combined with abstract details to enhance plastic and color expressiveness.
- A simple reflection of reality always seemed to me somewhat incomplete and boring, and I went deeper into the search for hidden meanings, sometimes creating new ones on the go. The direction in which I work is closest to symbolism, especially for black and white ink-based works. When creating, hatching, color fills are used, sometimes mascara is supplemented with watercolors. The plot can be anything - the impression of a read book, an interesting historical event, inner experiences, dreams, mysteries of nature… Actually, any artist can name a thousand and one reasons for inspiration.
Natalya Kazarina started Art Week as an amateur, and now she is participating as a professional. An active traveler, she absorbs the state of nature and people, and herself with her easel becomes part of the landscape of Italy.
Olga Belyalova categorized herself as an amateur, although in 1977 I graduated from the Moscow Polytechnic University. Kalinina (now it is called the Russian College of Applied Arts), specializing in embroidery artist. All her life Olga works by profession and loves her job. She collaborates with leading fashion houses in Moscow. She discovered oil painting for herself three years ago and plunged into this world with great pleasure.
- I participate in the Russian Artweek Art Week for the second time. Artweek is a great opportunity for aspiring artists to exhibit, declare themselves, exchange experience with professionals and get acquainted with the multifaceted world of other artists. It is wonderful that so many interesting workshops are held that the exhibitor can attend for free.
