His active work in the field of culture was encouraged by the honorary title of Honored Worker of Culture of the Republic. The award was presented in 1977. The main work occupied most of the life of Vladimir Reutov, but he managed to allocate time for creativity - he painted lyrical landscapes in oil, worked in the watercolor technique.

Living in Grozny, the artist was a regular participant in republican and zonal art exhibitions held in the North Caucasus and Russian cities. In 2002, Vladimir Mikhailovich became a member of the Union of Artists of the Russian Federation. The hostilities in Grozny forced Vladimir Reutov to leave Grozny. His house and workshop were destroyed. Since 1995, he lives with his family in Yaroslavl.

Around this time, the artist had a new creative hobby - he began to engage in painting with hot enamel. A professional experiment was successful for Vladimir Reutov. Since 1988, the artist has been actively collaborating with the center of creativity "Enamel". In his works, Vladimir Mikhailovich uses religious and historical subjects.

The works created by the artist are stored in the Yaroslavl Art Museum and in the exhibition fund of the Enamel association. The opened exhibition can be visited on April 5th.
