MOSCOW. The exhibition hall of the Association of Artists, located in the center of the capital, is waiting for guests to the exhibition of Alexander Chichigin, a talented Moscow artist. Alexander Albertovich was born far from the capital, in the Irkutsk region. He received the profession of an artist in Khabarovsk, where in 1979 he became a graduate of the art and graphic faculty of the Khabarovsk Pedagogical Institute.

Professional creative activity of Alexander Chichigin began at the end of the institute. In his work, the artist does not give preference to a particular genre and theme. However, his paintings are united by an art form that gives the works of Alexander Albertovich a special personality. Its use becomes for the artist not only a means of depiction, but also allows you to more accurately express the content of the work.

The style of painting, preferred by Alexander Chichigin, became the reason for the artist’s special love for the creation of still lifes, since working on them allows the painter to focus on form-making. Often the artist refers to events taking place in the world.

The artist could not stay away from the tragedy in Beslan, which shocked people around the world. In memory of Beslan, Alexander Chichigin painted the “Save and Preserve” painting, which became a dedication to all the people who suffered in the attacks and local wars. This canvas became a prayer addressed to God, a request for the preservation of the world.

Another special work is in the work of Alexander Chichigin - “4 lifetimes”. In it, the artist outlined the main stages of human life, starting from his birth. According to the artist, the final stage is not death, but resurrection and ascension.
