"Unusual in the ordinary" - an exhibition of paintings by Alexander Avdyushkin in Samara Automatic translate
SAMARA. Connoisseurs of beauty who follow what is happening in the cultural life of the city are well acquainted with the work of their fellow countryman, art school teacher Alexander Avdyushkin. He first presented his work to the public in 1992. Over the years, the artist held several solo exhibitions in Samara.
New works of the painter can be seen at the exhibition held in the recreation center "The Seagull". In the exhibition, called "Unusual in the ordinary," Alexander Avdyushkin collected 44 works written in oil. For the basis of his work, the artist used not only traditional canvas, but also cardboard.
A large number of works reflects the impressions of the artist’s trips to other countries. Moreover, each of the works is markedly different in the manner of execution. The image of a corner of nature in the painting "Japanese Forest" is like a graphic work, recalling the works of great artists of Japan. The painting “Venetian Shores”, filled with light, is associated with the works of famous impressionists.
Riga streets, and nearby tropical landscapes, genre compositions and children’s portraits. The artist did not forget about his pets - the images of cats also found a place in the exposition. Reminder of childhood is fabulous motives in the artist’s works - the name of the painting "New Year’s Tale" does not require comments. With the help of the artist, each visitor can look into the closet where Papa Carlo lived, see fresh flowers on canvases with still lifes.
Alexander Avdyushkin devoted part of his work to his native city - Samara, showing it to the audience as it was seen by residents two centuries ago. In those days, Samara proudly bore the name of “Russian Paris”, and fashionably dressed couples walked through its streets and spans passed.
In the Chaika Culture Center, the exhibition of Alexander Avdyushkin is open on February 17th.
