Paintings and drawings by Alexander Polsky in the art gallery of Magnitogorsk Automatic translate
MAGNITOGORSK. On December 6, a personal exhibition of Alexander Polsky, a graphic artist and painter known to Magnitogorsk art lovers, was opened in the city art gallery. Alexander Rudolfovich is known in Magnitogorsk for the talent of an artist and teacher.
His outstanding pedagogical talent helped the students of the art school, where Alexander worked as a teacher of composition and drawing for about twenty years, to truly fall in love with art. The artist himself became interested in painting thanks to his great-grandfather, Ivan Rodionovich. He was a graduate of an art school in Yelabug, where the famous painter Ivan Shishkin worked as a teacher.
Alexander himself is a graduate of the art faculty of MGPI. He graduated from the university in 1982. In 1985, the young artist hosted the first professional exhibition. Julia Krivoshapko, director of the art gallery, noted that already the first exhibition of the work of Alexander Polsky allowed art connoisseurs to talk about the talent of a novice artist.
Alexander has no favorite painting genre; his work is dynamic. This means that the themes of his paintings are changing, and the manner of their execution is changing. The artist travels a lot, which significantly enriches his personality, bringing new emotions and feelings to his work. He considers the main task of his work - to transfer to the canvas a piece of Beauty, but at the same time give reason to think.
The artist opened the exhibition in the Magnitogorsk gallery under the name “ARCHIVE”. This name is fully consistent with the content of the exposition, for the creation of which the artist selected paintings and graphic works made at different times from his archives. Some of the graphic sheets are combined on topics born on trips abroad to London.
