Exhibition of seaside artist Lydia Kozmina opened in Vladivostok Automatic translate
VLADIVOSTOK. On November 10, the VGUES Exhibition Complex presented the exhibition “At the Eye Level”, the exposition of which was located in three exhibition halls. All the works of such a large-scale exhibition belong to the famous artist Lydia Kozmina. Her work is well known to lovers of pictorial art, both in Primorye and throughout Russia. Some of the paintings on display, Lydia prepared specially for the new exhibition.
For the first time, the artist publicly showed her work in 1995, taking part in a regional exhibition. Since then, in her creative luggage there are dozens of exhibitions, general and personal. Her paintings were seen by viewers in Japan, South Korea and China, and some were acquired by collectors in the USA and Australia.
The representative of the Vladivostok administration, Andrey Vishnya, who was present at the opening of the exhibition, congratulated the artist, noting that her works are very emotional, they have no negative, and the author’s style is individual. Lydia herself says that her work is largely related to trips to neighboring countries. For some time, the artist worked in China, it is clear that the culture of this peculiar country does not affect creativity.
The artist masterly owns the pictorial technique, and the graphics in her performance look completely unusual. In the graphic sheets, Lidia Kozmina uses collage elements, which allows emphasizing the texture of the material. A variety of plots, which wonderfully combine the motives of Russian fairy tales with impressions of foreign trips, pleases the most sophisticated audience. This is characteristic of her author’s style.
At the opening of the exhibition, there was a presentation of the art edition - an album printed in Moscow with 130 reproductions of the works of Lydia Kozmina.
