Kramskoy invites connoisseurs of the beautiful to get acquainted with the exhibition of creativity by Nina Balagurova, the people’s artist of the Russian Federation, which opened on October 25. At the exhibition, open to all comers, until November 9 you can see more than a hundred works of various genres provided for the exhibition by a private collector.

Visitors were presented not only the paintings and drawings made by the artist, but also works, the work on which was the main thing in the life of Nina Balagurova - sketches with ideas for creating fabrics, as well as samples of finished materials produced from these sketches.

For several decades, from the materials created according to the drawings of the talented artist, the craftsmen sewed wonderful dresses that adorned Russians. The exhibition’s exposition is complemented by a film telling about the history of the production of artistic fabrics by Russian masters, which includes unique interviews with one of the leading artists in this type of creativity - Nina Balagurova.

The profession of the artist Nina Sergeevna received in her hometown, where she studied at the Department of Textile Drawing at the Chemical-Technological Institute. During her work in Ivanovo, the artist completed more than 350 sketches, according to which the textile industry produced fabrics that are in constant demand among fashionistas of the country.

Her works participated in foreign exhibitions, and costume designs made by Nina Balagurova were used to create models that participated in the shows of Vyacheslav Zaitsev, who studied with the artist on the same course. In 1973, Nina Sergeyevna moved to Tambov, where she began to create tapestries. Their stories were dedicated to the Russian village. Now the work of the Queen of Tapestries adorns private collections.
