PERMIAN. The PERMM Museum of Modern Art offers residents of the city an acquaintance with the works of artists from Rostov-on-Don. The exhibition "Fathers and Sons" will be open in the museum rooms until November 4th. The exposition of the exhibition presents the works of Rostov artists, made in various pictorial genres, graphic works, video art.

The exhibition was conditionally divided into parts. The first of them is designated as “The Way. Art. Waterfall ”, speaking in an artistic language about the history of the development of unofficial art in Rostov-on-Don. The second part shows the current situation of the Rostov art environment. The earliest works of Rostov masters, included in the exhibition, were made in the sixties, more than half a century ago. Part of the work belongs to today.

The exhibition was attended by Rostov artists, whose names are well known - Yu. Shabelnikov, A. Sigutin. They have long been called classics of contemporary art. No less interesting is the work of young artists on the way to fame. In total, twenty-five Rostov authors and art groups presented their works to participate in the exhibition "Fathers and Sons".

The exhibition was organized with the help of the Ministry of Culture of the Perm Territory, as part of the Year of Culture in Russia. Igor Gladnev, the Minister of Culture of the Territory, noted the importance of such museum projects, which allow all lovers of contemporary art to get acquainted with the work of artists from other regions, to see which genres are relevant among contemporary artists.

The exhibition is organized as an exchange project. While the works of Rostov artists are visiting the PERMM Museum, two exhibitions of Perm artists are housed in the Rostov Gallery of Modern Art.
