The opening of the exhibition in the Universe of Water took place on the first festival day. The exposition, created through cooperation with the Naval Museum, consists of 27 paintings of marine themes. It included the work of famous marine painters, stored in the collection of the Naval Museum.
The paintings presented at the exhibition depict historical events that took place in the waters of the Gulf of Finland. The center of the exposition was the canvas "The Ninth Wave", created by Nikolai Bublikov, known for his paintings on the marine theme. Visitors to the exhibition, whose profession is connected with the sea, will certainly be interested in a canvas depicting the races of the well-known cadets of maritime schools of yachts bearing the names "Study" and "Practice".
The exhibition will certainly interest not some painting lovers. The exposition houses six models of ships assembled by masters in the 18-20 centuries. They were created in different years in the workshop of the Maritime Museum. Three models replicate ships belonging to the Romanov family.
The opened exhibition is available to visitors within a month.
