The opening exhibition was located in two rooms of the New Gallery, and several paintings can be seen in front of the entrance to the exhibition hall. The main part of the exposition presents views of the capital of the Primorsky Territory, but the paintings are located on thematic zones.

In one of them, picturesque landscapes with images of city lighthouses are collected, for many years helping sailors find their way to the house. Next to them are canvases on which magnificent horses come to life - the animals most beloved by the artist. Presented in the exhibition and still lifes.

The canvases have no names, however, seaside landscapes are well recognized by visitors to the exhibition. The paintings, selected by Sergey Cherkasov for the traditional autumn exhibition, present a complete account of the open airs conducted by the painter during the spring-summer season.

The master himself says that he leaves the work that he considers worthy of showing to his fellow countrymen, since they are the most demanding viewers. “Cherkasovskaya Autumn” is represented by forty canvases written within six months. The exhibition itself will work as much time.
