Its main part - 80 paintings, delivered to Kazan from the Russian Museum, and two more paintings were in the collection of the Kazan Museum of Fine Arts.

The works that arrived in Kazan were performed by the artist in the years 30-40, during the repeated trips of Nicholas Roerich to the Himalayas. This exhibition of the Pushkin Museum celebrates the 140th anniversary of the artist, whose work has become the property of mankind.

The director of the museum, Rosalia Nurgaleeva, said that this exhibition was a joy for the staff, and aroused great interest among art lovers. To create the most suitable environment for displaying the canvases created by the master in the halls of the museum, repairs were made in the halls.

Alexey Boyko, head of one of the sectors of the Russian Museum, noted that the decision to show this exhibition in Kazan was not made by chance - the Pushkin Museum of the Republic of Tajikistan belongs to the best museums in the country. Here, not only a wonderful collection of paintings has been collected, but also work is well done with visitors. An important part of the museum is scientific work.

An exhibition center of the Russian Museum will appear in Kazan soon. It is planned to complete the preparation of documents before the end of the year.
