The project of the Gallery "Ark" "Unforgettable Names" continues the exhibition of Olga Eiges Automatic translate
MOSCOW. The next exhibition from the series “Unforgettable Names” began work in the capital’s gallery “Ark”. The new exposition of the gallery represents the work of the artist Olga Eiges, graduate of the IIII. Her teacher in the poster department, where the artist received education, was Alexander Deineka. Olga Vyacheslavovna worked in this genre for many years, fulfilling orders of various departments - from the state circus, to the publishing house "Art".
However, other teachers of the institute also had an impact on the artist’s creativity. After graduation, Olga Eiges worked with her mentors, Favorsky and Bruni, on the design of metro stations, office buildings and pavilions of VDNH. The artist worked as a theater decorator.
Unfortunately, the monumental works created by Olga Eiges do not exist today. Her last paintings, which existed on the ceilings of the Izmailovsky Park station, died a year ago in a fire.
Until the mid-sixties, an important part of Olga Eiges’s work was painting and graphics. This part of her work became the basis of the opening exhibition. Her exposition includes both the earliest works created while studying at the school in memory of 1905, and landscapes painted during her studies at the Moscow Research Institute, when she went to the Crimea as a student to practice.
The artist created many works in evacuation. Two years spent in Cheboksary left in the archives of the artist sketches made in the hospital and the school of radio operators. The next stage was landscapes painted in post-war trips to the sea.
Starting from the fifties, the main hobby of Olga Vyacheslavovna was the creation of views of Moscow, which is changing literally before our eyes. More than a hundred works by Olga Eiges, collected by the Ark Gallery, can be seen until September 28th.
