Portraits of famous artists in the Museum of Fine Arts from Nizhny Tagil Automatic translate
LOWER TAGIL. For several years, the Museum of Fine Arts has been preparing a gift for residents of the city in the form of a unique exhibition, "The Man of Art in Art." The exhibition was opened on the days when the museum celebrated its seventieth anniversary. The exhibition’s exposition included graphic works, sculptures, but its basis was numerous portraits of people who became famous thanks to their talents in various art forms.
The museum’s collection contains an impressive number of paintings with portraits of famous artists, there are graphic works and sculptures. A small part of the works of art presented in the exhibition has already participated in various exhibitions, however, most of the works were stored in the museum’s storerooms, so they are unfamiliar to the public.
In preparation for the exhibition, part of the paintings required restoration, and for some new frames were made. The exposition was placed in four rooms. Each of them is dedicated to one kind of art. So, visitors to the exhibition were given the opportunity to compare how artists presented images of famous people whose portraits were painted repeatedly by various authors.
The individual author’s style of each of the painters allows you to see the different appearance of Anna Akhmatova - in one of the portraits she appears to the audience sad and thoughtful, and on the other - she looks enchantingly mysterious. It turned out that Mayakovsky can be not only serious, but also dreamy, and Pushkin - romantic.
The portrait has always been a reflection of the era, its kind of mirror. A man who devoted his life to creativity has always been a bearer of the cultural values of his time. Therefore, creative personalities have always attracted the attention of artists whose goal was to comprehend their soul.
The exhibition runs until October 12th.
