BELGOROD. Until the 18th of August, visitors to the Belgorod Art Museum will be introduced to the exhibition of watercolors by Pyotr Kuzin, a talented artist from Orel. The young artist’s personal exhibition is held for the first time, although several of his paintings are already in the collections and are participating in the expositions of the Belgorod Museum.

The exhibition, which received 28 watercolors for the special lightness and airiness, called “Little Feather”, was organized as part of the project “Young Artists” held in the museum.

In the diploma received by Peter Kuzin last year, his qualification is designated as “monumental and applied painting”, however, the artist constantly tries himself in different areas of painting. About two years ago, Peter Kuzin became interested in watercolors, because, in comparison with the main direction of the profession, this technique allows the artist to work faster.

The artist, improving the technique of watercolor, experimented a lot, using various materials of the basis of the drawing. Among his works are watercolors made on tracing paper and thin paper. He was interested to observe how color transforms depending on the degree of moisture of the paper base.

Peter uses the watercolor technique to create still lifes and landscapes, the best of which are presented at the opening exhibition. The lyrical landscapes painted by the artist are filled with peace, the airspace masterfully depicted by the author is clean and transparent.

According to the Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Gennady Kudryavtsev, a famous master of watercolors, the works of Kuzin show how much their author loves watercolor technique. Now Peter Kuzin is busy with work on the main qualification - he is painting a temple near Kaluga with colleagues from the studio of military artists.
