The exhibition "Painting" has opened in the Khabarovsk Art Museum Automatic translate
KHABAROVSK. The Far Eastern Art Museum has always considered cultural education to be one of the most important areas of its work. Therefore, its employees actively participated in the All-Russian project "Art - the Land of Discoveries." As part of this project, the museum conducts a series of exhibitions that have received a common name - “Art Pavilion”.
This cycle was opened by two exhibitions telling about the art of sculpture. The first of them, “About Sculpture,” introduced museum visitors to the work of sculptors from the museum collection. The name of the second exhibition - “Genres of sculpture” fully reveals its content. The new exhibition of the cycle received the capacious name "Painting".
The works included in the exhibition cover a huge time period. The oldest canvases date back to the 17th century, and the latest by dating were created by our contemporaries. The exhibition features paintings by European and Russian artists. The example of these paintings presents a variety of types of pictorial art.
Museum staff included easel painting and miniatures, murals and decorative painting in the exposition. The specificity of the latest types of painting allowed to show them only in the form of posters. Since the cycle of exhibitions is an educational project, during a visit to an exhibition devoted to painting, visitors will see how the techniques for creating paintings change over time, and how different painting genres differ.
The exhibition will allow people far from art to touch the basics of the process of creating paintings. They will be shown how a canvas ready to work looks, the tools necessary for each artist will be shown. In the process of visiting the exhibition, they learn what the term "still life" means, how it differs from the landscape.
