A vivid example of such paintings, rightfully occupying one of the main places of the exposition, was a canvas written by Petrov-Vodkin during 1914-1915. Its author’s name is “Our Lady. The exhibition also features a series of lithographs by Natalia Goncharova - “Mystical images of war”. In total, more than two hundred works of various genres were selected from the museum funds for the exhibition. Their inspection gives visitors the opportunity to see how the society of that time was related to the war. Many paintings depict battle scenes, however, portraits of the military, often painted after the end of the battle, are of no less interest.
