This large-scale project tells how the representatives of Russian art, who worked in the first half of the 20th century, embodied the image of the East.

Beginning June 26, everyone will be able to see the exposition of the exhibition. It houses works of art created by artists in the years 1910-1940. Among them are works of painting and graphics, the authors of which are more than two dozen Russian artists. The exhibition presents names that are well known to connoisseurs of painting. The exhibition organizers also included ceramics, antique textiles and toys created by craftsmen whose homeland is Central Asia.

It is no coincidence that the Radischevsky Museum was chosen by the organizers of the exhibition. His funds hold many exhibits selected for the exhibition. Saratov in 1904 became the place where the first exhibition was held, the exposition of which represented works created by the Russian symbolists of the "second wave". The creators of this exposition, known as the Scarlet Rose, were artists Peter Utkin and Pavel Kuznetsov who lived in Saratov. Another participant joined them - already then the well-known Martiros Sarian.

The works of these masters of art became the basis of the exhibition, the creation of which was hosted by the country’s most prominent museums and private collectors. The created project will allow visitors to the museum to get acquainted with the work of a family from Moscow, who devoted their life to painting - Irina Zhdanko and Lev Kramarenko. The works of Robert Falk and the representative of socialist realism Semyon Chuykov are also located here.
