KAZAN. The Khazine Art Gallery invites everyone who is interested in painting art to visit the exhibition dedicated to the centenary of the wonderful representative of Tatarstan, the artist Gaisha Abdrakhmanovna Rakhmankulova. An exhibition entitled “GAISHA RAKHMANKULOV. KAZAN AQUAREL ”, has been waiting for visitors since May 15th.
Gaisha Rakhmankulova became the first of the Tatar artists admitted to the Union of Artists of the Tatar Autonomous Republic. At the all-Union exhibitions of watercolors held in Moscow, the artist represented her republic as the first of the female artists. Gaisha started painting from early childhood.
Her mother was not a professional artist, she was engaged in painting all her life. Without this occupation, she could not imagine even one day. She made wonderful portraits, she painted still lifes, over which she worked long and carefully. So Gaisha recalls his mother in his biography, published in an album book dedicated to the artist’s work. She was born in 2013.
The artist received professional education at the Kazan Art College. Gaisha’s graduation day coincided with the start of World War II, so her first works as a professional artist were posters and slogans for designing recruiting stations. She designed huts, reading rooms on collective farms, painted portraits of the best workers on the home front.
After the war, Gaisha Rakhmankulova was engaged in easel painting, her works took part in exhibitions. After some time, around the beginning of the sixties, the artist began to paint watercolors. It was this technique that completely revealed her talent.
The exhibition, open until August 15, presented 48 watercolors from the Pushkin Museum of RT and from private collectors.
