The life of a talented girl from Poltava was really prohibitively short - at the age of eleven she left this world due to a serious illness. The exhibition is dedicated to her memory.

Having been born in a family that dedicated life to the world of art (the girl’s dad was an artist, her mother was a choirmaster), Sasha was immersed in the world of creativity from birth. An important role in unlocking the girl’s abilities was played by the huge home library, where there were art books, albums, monographs by artists.

Like many peers, Sasha filled her albums with images of princes and knights, and nearby painted herself in the image of a princess. The technique in which they were performed was striking in skill. Sasha used felt-tip pens, pencils and paints in her drawings, striking with the integrity of the created images. Many Sasha’s drawings were dedicated to their pets.

In the year when the girl had to conquer a serious illness literally every year of her life, the themes of God, the cosmos, and other worlds appeared in her drawings. At the same time, the theme of India appeared in her drawings. The heroes of their favorite films were side by side with images of Indian newlyweds, in which one could easily recognize Sasha and the famous “Disco Dancer”.

During the life of Sasha, two personal exhibitions of her works managed to take place. One of the friends of the family of Sasha Putrya told the girl’s parents that these ingenious drawings should be seen by everyone. After Sasha died, her work was donated to the museum to them. Roerich. With the help of museum staff, an exhibition of drawings by Sasha Putry took place in ten countries, documentaries were shot.
