Kandinsky’s life and work were closely connected with Germany. The artist was born in Moscow, however, he lived most of his life abroad. Kandinsky turned to painting at a conscious age. At the age of 30, having left his career as a lawyer, he moved to Munich, whose art schools enjoyed a high reputation in Russia at that time. In Munich, Vasily Kandinsky meets with German expressionists - colleagues, works on his first Improvisations and concocts, and then realizes a completely new project: the publication of the artistic almanac “The Blue Horseman”.
