Graphics with Chinese motifs from the Voronezh artist V. Goncharov in Rostov Automatic translate
ROSTOV-ON-DON. The first of four Russian cities preparing to host an exhibition by Voronezh artist Vladimir Goncharov, organized as part of the Year of Culture, was Rostov-on-Don. From April 4, visitors to the exhibition hall of the Union of Artists will be able to get acquainted with the artist’s graphic works created under the impressions received by Vladimir Goncharov over the years of his life in China.
In this unusual country, the artist worked as a teacher for three years, teaching students the art of design. During this time, Vladimir Goncharov managed with all his heart to fall in love with the unique Chinese culture, carefully preserved by the Chinese people.
Although the largest cities in China, as in all countries of the world, have a sufficient number of modern high-rise buildings sparkling with glass and metal, carefully preserved ancient architectural monuments are adjacent to them. Buildings constructed several centuries ago do not look alien against the background of modern architecture, but harmoniously combine with them.
Vladimir Goncharov did not limit his stay in China to trips to major cities of the country. The artist managed to get acquainted with the life of a Chinese village, having visited the homeland of the philosopher Confucius - the province of Qufu. The impressions gained while traveling around the country inspired the artist to create several series of graphic works.
Among them are images of ancient temples and castles, ancient Beijing neighborhoods, landscapes painted in Chinese provinces and the life of farmers. In total, the exposition of the “Chinese” exhibition, open in Rostov-on-Don on April 30, presents 78 works by the artist, Vladimir Goncharov used paper and paints made in China to create them.
Then the exhibition will be seen by residents of Voronezh, Lipetsk and Orel.
