PUSHKIN. In the exhibition halls of the Tsarskoye Selo collection museum on January 18, an exhibition of an original artist from St. Petersburg, Vladimir Yashke, opens. The exhibition includes the work of Vladimir Evgenievich of various periods of his work. The paintings and graphic works stored in the museum’s collection are presented.

Visitors will be able to see the author’s works, written even at the time when he was a student of the art school of Sevastopol. The appearance of such works as "The Ruins of Chersonesos", "Postal Wagon", "Girl at the Window" dates from the period from 1963 to 1965. A few more works included in the exhibition also relate to the early period of Vladimir Yashke’s work.

Two wonderful canvases, painted during the period when the author was an active participant in the association of underground artists of St. Petersburg "Mitki", represent the work of an already mature brush master. These paintings were part of the Mitkov project called Archetypes. A special place at the exhibition was taken by the author’s collage dedicated to the biography of the artist.

The fate of Vladimir Evgenievich was such that, before moving to St. Petersburg in 1976, he had a chance to live in different parts of our country, far from each other. The future artist was born in Vladivostok, then his family moved to Kamchatka, where he spent his childhood. He graduated from art school in Sevastopol, and received higher education in Moscow, at the printing institute.

The exhibition of works by Vladimir Yashke in the Tsarskoye Selo collection museum will be open on February 2. It should be recalled. that you can continue acquaintance with the artist’s work in the Russian Museum, where a large-scale exhibition of his works awaits visitors until mid-March.
