"Masterpieces of Russian Museums" - an exhibition dedicated to the anniversary of the Sverdlovsk Region Automatic translate
YEKATERINBURG. An exhibition has been opened in the regional museum of local lore dedicated to the celebration of the upcoming anniversary of the Sverdlovsk region, which will be celebrated on January 17th. The exhibition “Masterpieces of Russian Museums” is a joint project of several museums. In addition to the museum of local lore of Yekaterinburg, the metropolitan museum of modern history of Russia, the Irbit and Nizhny Tagil museums of fine arts took part in the project.
Most of the paintings and graphic works arrived at the exhibition from the Moscow Museum of Modern History of Russia. Residents of Yekaterinburg will see the work of artists whose names are known throughout the world - Aivazovsky and Kustodiev, Zinaida Serebryakova and Ilya Glazunov, as well as the work of other famous artists.
Some of the works of famous artists included in the exhibition never went outside the capital. For the first time, the portrait of Kerensky painted by I. Repin left the museum of modern history of Russia. The exhibition also includes an unknown portrait of Lenin, owned by I. Brodsky.
This exhibition is unique in its own way - in the two halls of the museum its organizers combined works of art of various movements, genres and performance techniques. Visitors will be able to see the portrait of Alla Pugacheva next to the portrait of Vladimir Lenin, next to a grandiose construction site spread out on a large-scale canvas, there is a nostalgic landscape with a picture of a village house.
The organizers of the project gave it a peculiarity, supplementing the display of painting with the opportunity to get acquainted with a unique newsreel devoted to the most important events that took place during the existence of the Sverdlovsk region. Video materials were provided by Ural TV Company, a project partner.
