The anniversary exhibition of the artist S. Kazantsev was complemented by the work of his students Automatic translate

IRKUTSK. The regional art museum presented an anniversary exhibition of the honored artist of the Russian Federation Sergey Kazantsev, dedicated to his fiftieth anniversary. Since the exhibition represents not only the creative activity of the master, but also the work of the teacher, it became a continuation of the project “Teacher and students”, which the Irkutsk branch of the Union of Russian Artists began last year.

In the exhibition hall next to the works of the master housed the work of his best students. For the exposition, paintings and academic drawings made by the students of Sergey Kazantsev during the 25 years of his work as a teacher were selected. The number of students whose work is located in the exhibition hall is also equal to 25.

The total number of works by former students of Sergei Ivanovich Kazantsev presented at the exhibition was 50 paintings of different years and 50 academic works on drawing and painting. Among the authors of these works, most of the names are fairly well-known not only in Irkutsk. The whole country knows many.

Working as a teacher at an art school in Irkutsk, Sergey Kazantsev is actively involved in painting. Most of his works are written from nature, which is not so simple when you consider that in each work of the artist is not just a reflection of the space surrounding him, but an expression of the inner world of the painter himself.

Sergey Ivanovich works in various genres, creating vibrant, emotionally expressive works on each canvas, made in a special author’s color, using complex colors. Each exhibition, on which paintings by Sergey Kazantsev are presented, receives numerous enthusiastic reviews from the audience.

The new exhibition is open until November 17th.
